How does the cooling actually work?

Does it stay cool all day or only for a short time?
It works best for sessions of 20–30 minutes at a stretch, then recharges while your pet takes a break. For most pets that's well within their natural rest-move cycle — they'll cool down, wander off, and come back to a refreshed mat.
What size should I pick?
Go by your pet's weight: S for pets up to 8kg, M up to 20kg, L up to 35kg, XL up to 45kg. If your pet likes to fully sprawl, size up — the mat should fit their whole body comfortably.
Is it safe if my pet chews or licks it?
The gel is sealed inside the mat and doesn't come into direct contact with your pet. That said, CoolNest™ isn't designed for pets who aggressively chew bedding — if your dog is a destroyer, supervise the first few uses to be safe.
